Darn You, Microsoft!

A couple of users have alerted me to the fact that the Style Images editor doesn't work quite as it should under Internet Explorer, with differing problems arising depending on whether you're using IE6 or IE7.

I'll be doing additional testing and fixing those problems very soon.  In the meantime, if you need to create Style Images, I highly recommend the Firefox browser.

A Note On Browser Support

Minx (the blogging application that runs mee.nu) is developed against Firefox and then tested under Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari.  Usually you only need to make sure that pages render correctly; however, active user interface pages require more testing and problems can slip through.

We intend to fully support all four major browsers on all platforms.  Currently, there are major issues with the WYSIWYG editor on both Opera and Safari; we will shortly be adding an alternative editor that supports all four browsers.

Just a bit of Beta Blogging....possibly related to your current efforts.

I cannot blog using AOL as my browser. I can type but images, and hyperlinks don't work...I get that "beepy no no" sound.

(I'm Ken Talton....and I'm a student)

Firefox, IE, and Earthlink work fine.

Attempts to insert little icon/avatar-like pictures into my post headings (associated with categories) resulted in wrecked HTML.

Beginning with the "Rent-A-Cow"post, all of my posts have the same background as my border (red as I type this). This effect is not visible in a direct link to the post but becomes apparent if one scrolls down. It's a minor bug to me, easily worked around, but may indicate a larger issue.

2 Hmm.  Yes, something is broken there...  I'll poke around a bit and see if I can work out what happened.

I'll also post some code on how to do category icons.

3 Changing logo and menu color  produces changes only visible on the style edit page.

4 Hmm.  Works for me - see the orange logo and black menu items here.

You might need to do a shift-reload to force your browser to update.

5 Odd.

Things just work better south of the equator.

On my style edit page the menu color is black as opposed to the white that is visible.

(Not that I want it black but it's an easy way to tell if this bug is fixed.)

Also, I'm trying to update my banner but I can't remove old banners from the banner list.

Is there any way to have a banner that is not full width default to the starboard side of the screen?

Can I have a cookie?
